Britta Persdotter
She was born on February 17 1759 on the farm Uved in Nedre Ulleruds parish, Värmlands county. She was the first child of the farmer Petter Hansson and his wife Margareta Andersdotter. Britta was baptized the following day, February 18. The following year, 1760, the family moved to the farm Karsbol in the same parish. She was still living in Karsbol when, on November 20 1778, she married the farmhand Olof Andersson from the farm Valtorp in the same parish. After the wedding Olof lived with Britta on her parent’s farm in Karsbol. At that time the farm was still owned and farmed by Brittas parents. After the death of her parents in 1796 and 1797, Britta and Olof took over the farm. They farmed Karsbol together for two years. In January 11, 1799, Britta died at only 40 years of age. She died from tonsillitis and was buried on January 20.
