Olof Andersson
Olof was born on October 30 1754 on the farm Ängsnäs in Nedre Ulleruds parish, Värmlands county. His parents were the farmer Anders Gustavsson and his wife Ingerid Olofsdotter. The farm Ängsnäs was the farm from where his mother came. The farm was owned and farmed by his maternal grandparents, Olof Svensson and Anna Nilsdotter. Before 1758 his grandparents and parents moved from Ängsnäs to the farm Valtorp, from where his father had come. Valtorp was owned and farmed by his maternal grandparents, Gustav Andersson and Anna Olofsdotter. At that time, Olof:s great grandmother Karin Andersdotter also lived on the farm. Olof stayed at Valtorp until 1778. On November 8 1778 he married the maid Britta Persdotter from the farm Karsbol in the same parish. After the wedding he lived with his wife in Karsbol. At that time the farm was owned and farmed by his wife's parents Petter Hansson and his wife Margareta Andersdotter. Later Olof and Britta took over the farm after her parents deaths in 1796 and 1797. Two years later, in January 1799, his wife also died. Later that year, on December 5 1799, he remarried in Nedre Ulleruds church, to the maid Ingrid Larsdotter from the farm Kaggbacka in the same parish. They had published their banns on September 9. Ingrid was born on May 15 1765. It is not known where she was born. That fall Ingrid moved to Karsbol to live with Olof. Olof and his first wife Britta Persdotter had eight children. With his second wife, Ingrid Larsdotter, he had three more children. Olof farmed at Karsbol for the rest of his life. He died of age on November 19 1826, at an age of 72 years. He second wife also died about the same time.
