Catharina Nilsdotter
Catharina was born on September 24 1791, on one of the farms in Lene in Frykeruds parish, Värmlands county. She was the third and youngest child to the farmer Nils Svensson and his wife Margareta Jonsdotter. When she was 12 years old, in 1803, her mother died and Catharina and her two sisters had to help their farther to run the farm. At an age of 24, on January 8 1815, she got married to the farmhand Olof Andersson from Säldebråten in the same parish. She had by that time been a maid for Olofs father Anders Andersson and his wife Ingeborg Nilsdotter, for three years. The publication of the banns was done on September 11 the year before. They were married by Schagerstrom. Catharina lived in Säldebråten for the rest of her life and died, only 48 years and 6 months old, on April 3 1840. She was buried on April 7.
