Nils Svensson
Nils was born on August 28 1758, on one of the farms in Lene in Frykeruds parish, Värmlands county. He was the first child to the farmer Sven Nilsson and his wife Britta Jonsdotter. Twenty years old, in 1778, he started working as a farmhand for his cousin, the farmer and shoemaker Swen Nilsson, who lived on one of the other farms in Lene. Here he stayed until 1782. At an age of 25, on November 11 1783, he married the maid Margareta Jonsdotter from the farm Fagerås in the same parish. They settled in Lene, on the farm that was owned by the farmer Jonas Olofsson. From the year 1784 Nils was a farmer on one of the farms in Lene. In September 1803 his wife died and he became a widdower. Nils lived in Lene for the rest of his life and died on July 23 1812, 54 years old. Nils died from "coldness" and was buried on August 2. The farm was taken over by his daughter Britta and her husband Anders Persson.
