Britta Jansdotter
She was born on the farm Stirserud in Bro parish, Värmlands provicne, on August 21 1757. Her parents were the farmer Jean Olofsson and his wife Margareta Christophersdotter. She lived at home until the year 1757, as she on December 26 married the farmhand Jan Andersson from the farm Jordstorp in the same parish. After the marriage she moved to her husband in Jordstorp. After the death of her husband in 1820 she became a widdow. The farm had earlier been taken over by the daughter Margareta and her husband, Johan Olsson. When Margaretas husband Johan died, in 1828, the farm was taken over by their oldest son Olof and his wife Katrina Simonsdotter. Brita stayed until her death as the legal owner of the farm. She died on April 1 1839, 82 years old. She died from "fever" and was buried on April 14.
