Catharina Jansdotter

Catharina was born on March 27 1729 on one of the farms in Kollerud in Eds parish, Värmlands county. Her parents were the farmer Johan Christophersson and his wife Britta Swänsdotter.

Most likely she lived in Kollerud until 1749, when she 20 years old, got married to the farmhand Anders Jönsson from the farm Stora Häggvik in the same parish. They were married in Eds church on October 22. As a morning-gift she got 20 lod of silver. After the wedding she moved to her husband in Stora Häggvik.

She lived in Stora Häggvik for the rest of her life and died, only 54 years old, on August 16 1783. She was buried on August 24.
