Kjerstin Andersdotter

She was born on April 10 1766 on the farm Stora Häggvik in Eds parish, Värmlands county. His parents were the farmer Anders Jönsson and his wife Catharina Jansdotter.

At an age of 16, in 1782, she left home to work as a maid on the farms nearby. Among the farms were Angerud and Berg, all in Eds parish. In 1788 she returned home to Stora Häggvik.

In 1790 the farmhand Jan Bengtsson started working for her father and later the same year, on November 14, they got married in Eds church. They lived on Stora Häggvik until 1792 when they for a short period moved to Jans parents farm in Höjen and then later to the farm Malöga, both in Eds parish.

In 1794 the family moved back to tha farm Höjen. The main farm in Höjen was farmed by her husbands older brother Bengt. Kjerstin lived on the farm Hojen for the rest of her life. She died from "age-weakness", 81 years old, on February 5 1847. She was buried on February 14.
