Elin Bengtsdotter
She was born in 1725, most likely in Eds parish, Värmlands county. In 1748 she lived on the farm Malöga in Eds parish. This farm could have been her fathers farm. The same year, on October 23 1748, she got married to the farmhand Bengt Jansson from the farm Körsvik in the same parish. After the wedding she moved to her husband in Körsvik. Some years later, in 1751, the family had moved to the farm Hojen in the same parish. In June 1781 she became a widdow as her husband Bengt died. The farm was then taken over by the oldest son Bengt and his wife Maria Jönsdotter. Elin stayed on the farm and lived there until she died, 78 years old, on Januari 26 1803. In the church-books she was said to bee "The poor widdow Elin Bengtsdotter from Högen". She died from age-weakness and was buried on Frebruary 1.
