Magnus Andersson

As the youngest of six children, Magnus was born on July 13 1799, at the farm Bjurerud in Alsters parish, Värmlands county. His parents were the farmer Anders Nilsson and his wife Cajsa Jonsdotter.

He lived with his parents until 1810, when he at an age of 11 moved to Nedre Ulleruds parish, Värmlands county. The following year, 1811, he returned home to Bjurerud.

In one of the other houses at Bjurerud lived the seven years older Ingeborg Nilsdotter, who became his wife in September 1818. Magnus and Ingeborg were first cousins and had to have permision from the king before they married, which they also got. At Bjurerud he lived for the rest of his life.

According to the churchbooks for the years 1826 - 1830 it is noted that
he had smallpox. At an age of 37 he also worked as a jurryman. He was
a jurryman for more then 25 years. In 1861 at an age of 62, is is noted that Magnus was "the former jurryman".

Five years later, in 1866, the farm had been taken over by his daughter Stina Cajsa and her husband Johannes Larsson.

Magnus died, 76 years old, on March 2 1876. He overlived his wife with three years.
