Now I'm leaving from here
with a free sense and will God let me
my lifetime have. I will always remember that but who
is responsible for me going, him
I will teach manners if I once again
will return to my dear country.
2nd vers
I'm my parents' most trustful and I'm now
leaving in an evil and hard time
Take us oh God, from mutually fights and tyranny
For the hand of peace to water and labour, help us oh God
to fight and stand on our side.
3rd vers
In Sweden I want to travel around. If I
can't do that, I have gone out for nothing, You
will hear that, a fellow like me both mirthful
and good You shall hear it every night
that I'm not regretting anything though I'm walking away.
4th vers
Noted are we 25 who in guard shall stand
but I hope anyway to come back if God will
give me my life. Couldn't God take care of his
friend on earth? I who am a good father and makes
every christian happy.
5th vers
Poor I am and that You know and therefore
I must go That my poor soul should
be upset But nice rich God in heaven looks
down on his friend praying and doing his duties.
6th vers
Poverty and misary it is in the country. Envy hate
and much trouble like us and ourselves can find.
Yes envy crying there He inside is and making
many troublesome things that we can help
and will we God honor.
7th vers
The writing is in many ways here in Sweden
He who has money enough there are many.
But the King's order many obeyed.
That the-poor man' child first must go with
little food and shall suffer much.
8th vers
While meeting and deciding that it was the poorest
that should go against the enemy maybe one time
they shall be the greatest Yes, if we remember our great
God and not us plant the children
like He also have written in his book.
